after loosing the love of our-life, our baby, Myrtle, a 4 year old rottie, from diabetes...We were totally devastated... The vet assistant, (we went to for 15-20 years), demanded payment for the cremation while we still crying in the kennel area...like we were going to skip out...My sister-in-law got even more upset & told her we would pay on the way out, you have no compassion...
The entire experience was highly beneficial for our family to gain further closure around our beloved friend's early demise. I would recommend Evercare's services.
I went right back into the vets office & told them about it, they apologized
I had to hit a star so they would post this...Actually I would not give them a star for anything....
VETERINARY CREMATORY SERVICE...except a new box & new name plate...I don't feel they have any compassion !!! How could they not check on how the name was spelled correctly...It was spelled correctly on the paperwork at the vet's...why no simple "I'm sorry"...And it's not like you can choose the crematory....I am very very upset...and still grieving our loss....
We chose the option to have a viewing of our dog, prior to his cremation. Rosie coordinated scheduling with us, which took some effort based on our difficult schedules. Rosie was very understanding and kind. The viewing was a valuable experience and Joe, the cremator, was also very kind and checked several times to ensure all of our needs were met prior to proceeding with the irreversible act of cremation.
Thank you so much Evercare for taking such good care of my baby girl Snowball while she was in your care. Snowball arrived home yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the presentation. I felt the love that was put into this. You truly warmed my terribly broken heart and made such a horrible situation into something so beautiful and precious. I don't know if I will ever get over the loss of my baby girl but I am so thankful for how Evercare took care of her
At any rate, we got our box of ashes back & Her name was spelled wrong!!!
& told me we would get a new box with the correct spelling on it by the ind of the week...I got a new box with the correct spelling of Myrtle's name...But no apology...not sorry about that...no nothing from EVERCARE
I actually stayed throughout the cremation, and really appreciate that I was able to do so. Joe was very helpful in explaining things respectfully and assuring my concerns and questions were thoroughly addressed.
My family and I are absolutely appalled by the veterinary crematory services offered by Evercare. We had to put our beloved dog of almost 15 years down on September 2nd. Today, we picked up the ashes and read the certificate that states she was cremated on September 12th. This means that they kept our beloved dog's body in a trash bag or in a freezer for 10 full days. As if having our hearts broken when putting her down wasn't enough, knowing that her body just sat there for all of those days is devastating. We can't help but wonder how much of her body had already begun to rot and disintegrate. I understand they can't cremate the animal the same day we put her down, especially because it was a Saturday. However, it is unbelievable that they would wait 10 days. Additionally, the box that contains our dog's ashes is scratched. Thankfully, we will never have to utilize this service this again since we do not have any other pets. Moreover, I can honestly say I would never send another family here for their services.
