Seems they are very dishonest. Would never use them again.

We will pay for the move but not the extra insurance.
When we submitted our claim for about $600 They refused to pay anything. They also covered up scratches on the wood floor with the boxes.

Over the years we made 9 moves. This is by far the worse moving company we ever used. As the previous person said they were fine until after we moved. We had about 170 cartons. It took about 3 weeks for us to open all the cartons. We contacted Steve at Mooneys and he told us not to worry because we had 2 months to file an insurance claim. Told us to just unpack and not worry. We did not take their regular insurance.
My suggestion is that you be upfront on insurance. You also never gave us a copy of the insurance paperwork for the extra insurance. Where is It?
Also they said we should've used their unpacking service.
We paid for full replacement value insurance.
They make you sign their paperwork and pay before they unload your furniture. So, you have no choice but to sign.
We would never have paid extra for insurance on concealed damage if you told us you dont pay unless you unpack the goods. We had 170 cartons which took us 3 weeks to unpack. When we called you several days after our move why did you tell us we had 2 months to submit our claim?
We used Mooney's to move from our home in Warrington, PA to another home close by. I couldn't believe how well and fast they moved us. When I sent an email to Steve asking some questions he got back to me quick. My wife and I are glad we went with Mooney's and would use them again if we needed to. Thanks - Steve !
Amazing experience from Mike, George and Mike from PA to NY. Loaded everything up and delivered the next day. I can't say enough good things about Mooney's. They came highly recommended and lived up to their lofty reputation. Thanks to Steve and crew for a job well done.
They told us if there was a problem with breakage we should have noted it when the furniture was delivered. How would we know about breakage when the boxes weren't even unpacked!!
We recently used Mooney's for a move and temporary storage. Up until the actual move, we found their service to be satisfactory, but noticed that they emptied all drawer contents into individual boxes instead of keeping items in their drawers and taping the contents. obviously the latter method makes for much easier unpacking. However, once the actual move into our new location, the service drastically changed for the worse. They used the garage as the main storage area to the point that the garage was filled beyond capacity. You were not able to walk through the garage nor store a pin in it. At this point the movers left. Subsequent to this move, we literally had to hire another service to assist us with the huge unpacking process, much of what could have been avoided. After a few attempts to contact the Moving Co. ownership for some moderate remedy it fell on deaf ears.
If you don't want to pay legitimate claims then don't charge for insurance.
These guys were great. Efficient, careful, and prompt. I'll be using them again for my second move.
